| ||Mary Tsai: Executive Director|
Mary has 25 years of proven success expanding the programs, services and events for the Glebe community and the city at large. She is the recipient of the 2012 Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award in recognition for her contribution to making Ottawa Centre a stronger and more inclusive community for all its residents. Mary believes that the philosophy of community serving community is an integral part of building strong neighbourhoods. She provides the leadership and vision of creating an environment that is welcoming, nurturing, stimulating, and fun for anyone who walks though the GCC’s doors where they immediately feel like it is their home away from home.
| ||Paul O'Donnell: Director of Recreation|
Catching Paul at his desk is a bit of a challenge because he’s always happiest when he’s playing with the kids or thinking up a challenging game for his staff. Paul started working in recreation in 1995 and became one of GNAG’s well-loved management team in 2007. He’s a force to be reckoned with and his energy, enthusiasm and imagination are almost unmatched. Being a Dad has only made him more dedicated to making children happy.
| ||Clare Davidson Rogers: Office Manager|
Clare started with GNAG as a volunteer, became a board member, then a preschool teacher and bit by bit worked her way into the management team which she now thinks of as her family. She loves her job and wears many hats, from communications, to events coordinator, office manager and Legend master. As a country girl, Clare really enjoys the opportunity to get to know her community, making the Glebe CC her little village.
| ||Peter Wightman: Finanical Administrator|
Peter, the man of mystery, often missing from his desk because he started his day at 4:30 and has gone home for a nap. Peter joined our team a few years ago and fits in like he'd always been here. Also known as the answer man, Peter can figure his way out of any numbers query and is always game to help.
| ||Tim Lamothe: Department Manager, Youth Outreach & Development |
Armed with a degree in Marine Biology, a passion for wearing head to toe black and a healthy dose of sass, Tim took over the leadership of the youth portfolio upon graduating from Dalhousie University – which made sense since Tim’s been coming to GNAG literally forever and founded our Glebe Leadership program in high school. Recently, Tim has secured major provincial and federal funding that support our YouthFIT and Integration Support programs. He enjoys volleyball, cooking and playing the piano.
| ||Alison O'Connor: Department Manager, Children & Family|
Ali loves colour coding, swimming, snow tubing, splatter art and reading children's books. When she is not at her desk she can often be found in an art room with painted fingers or taking kids on an adventure through Ottawa. Ali, like any good millennial, saves up her vacation time to satiate her wanderlust with trips around the world.
| ||Stephanie Stewart: Kitchen & Food Manager|
Imagine coming into work each day to be met with the passionate GNAG crew’s smiles, work ethic, and devotion to community. This is the fortunate reality in which I find myself each day. My background in the service industry, a (prototypical) arts degree, and a culinary management diploma navigated me toward this dream job. As manager of GNAG’s food programs and of the new gcCafé, I get the pleasure of working with a talented group of culinary staff, and developing accessible and exciting cooking, nutrition, and culinary programs.
Jason Irvine: Sr. Program Coordinator
Jason has lived in the Glebe since his high-school days and now dedicates his time to GNAG, giving back to the community that has given him so much. A dad who is still very much a kid himself, Jason shares his passion for music, games, and fun with children of all ages. You are most likely to find Jason singing with playgroup, planning elaborate role-playing games with the after-four program, or throwing on a crazy dinosaur costume and chasing pre-schoolers around the building!
| ||Lauren Fowler: Sr. Program Coordinator|
Lauren has been working with us for over 7 years and has enjoyed every minute of it. Starting off as a summer camp counselor, to joining the Q4 team, she slowly built up the time spent here and now coordinates the Little/Middles Q4 program, and has stage-managed the last two GNAG theatre productions. In her spare time, Lauen enjoys trying out new recipes, being out in the sun and obsessing about her puppy!
